My Priorities

As a community independent it is important that my policies reflect our communities needs and concerns. Below are the common issues that form my priorities for the Willoughby Electorate based on your feedback. My volunteer team and I will be continuing to door knock and pop up in your area and we would love to hear your thoughts on these priority areas and what matters most to you? As a true independent free from vested interests and factional influences I am uniquely placed to openly and accurately represent the views of our community on the floor of Parliament and negotiate real change.

INTEGRITY AND TRANSPARENCY

Strengthen ICAC, stop “pork barrelling”, support the cashless gaming card, challenge conflicts of interest, release business cases & contracts

CLIMATE, ENVIRONMENTAL AND FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

Stop cost blowouts, retain public assets in public hands, faster action on climate, address plastic pollution, support our green economy transition

STOP OVERDEVELOPMENT – PROTECT HERITAGE & CULTURE

Return planning to local communities, safeguard heritage, review CDC criteria to retain local character, preserve our villages, master plan our growth areas

PROTECT OUR GREEN SPACES

Honour heritage and wildlife corridors eg Flat Rock Gully, return green space to the community eg Cammeray Park, stop loss of our urban and native forests

ADDRESS COST OF LIVING AND HOUSING AFFORDABILITY

Reform the planning system, relieve pressure on households, no more tolls

TRANSPORT, TOLLS AND TUNNELS

Prioritise public & active transport, fix the public transport shortage, replan last 5km connectivity to hubs, improve road safety, support EV transition, cancel the Beaches Link and Save Flat Rock Gully, re-assess the need for and alignment of the Western Harbour Tunnel, transform the Warringah Freeway into a sustainable transport corridor rather than a 1980's LA style freeway.

I have lead the charge when it comes to questioning these projects by forming community groups, coordinating submissions, submitting an 11,000 strong petition to Parliament and lobbying successfully for a Parliamentary Inquiry. I have read almost all of the 20,000 pages of environmental impacts and I have consistently met with, educated and lobbied our decision makers. I understand this project better than any of the other candidates and I believe that a community informed is a community empowered. As a direct result of the work I have done over 6 years we have seen both sides make promises and the current government make some major changes to the Western Harbour Tunnel alignment which has saved Sydney Harbour from dredging. Far more can be done to save our green spaces and transform this corridor but I need your help to do it. By putting my voice in Parliament you will have a direct line to the government and a spotlight to shine where these projects fail to serve the public interest. I will hold the government to account to their promises whether than be Labor or Liberal and I will push them to go further/ much further. Only a representative free from factional pressures and party interests can truly hold the government of the day to account and we need that Independent voice to be put on the floor of Parliament now before these $22 Billion projects proceed any further.

HEALTH AND HOSPITALS

Stop RNSH sell off, improve patient/nurse ratios, increase mental health funding, reduce patient wait times, improve air quality

IMPROVE EDUCATION OUTCOMES

Dedicate space for quality schools, encourage teaching as a career, less admin/ more class time for teachers, fund learning support including gifted student (O/C) programs

TRUE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND RESPECT

Ensure our diverse, multi-cultural community is included and heard, engender respect for all ages, support for domestic violence programs
